The jungle setting of the lodge was incredible, allowing us to see wildlife right from our balcony. We had daily visits from howler and spider monkeys, and were surrounded by various birds and insects. The cabin itself was cozy and well-sealed against mosquitoes. The staff was very helpful and provided us with a delicious breakfast every morning. It was also a secure place with a locked front gate at night.
The Wi-Fi signal at our cabin was too weak to be reliable, which was a bit frustrating. Additionally, our cabin was close to a busy road, so we experienced a lot of noise from passing trucks and barking dogs.

We got great value for our money with a beautiful cabin that had a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the stunning beach and surrounded by amazing wildlife. The staff, especially Estelle, were gracious and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast could be improved with more variety or options.

Pachamama was comfortable, secluded, and close to the beach. Estelle, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. The lodging was thoughtfully arranged with hammocks on the veranda. Biking to nearby attractions was convenient.
For us it was ideal.

I had an incredible stay at this jungle river lodge. The hosts, Charlene and Josef, were perfect in every way. They were always available when needed but also gave me privacy. The bungalow was well-equipped with mosquito repellents and a fully stocked kitchen. The location of the property, right on the river, was stunning. With the bikes provided, I was able to easily explore the surrounding areas such as Manzanilla, Punta Uwa, and Puerto Viejo. The hosts even gave me a small local gift on Christmas Day, which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Nothing negative to say.

Unbelievable value for such a lovely stay! The hosts were amazing, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The bungalow was well-equipped and had everything we needed, including mosquito repellents and a fully stocked kitchen. The property's location in the jungle, along the river, was breathtaking. Additionally, the included breakfast was always delicious and the use of bikes and kayaks was a plus.
It's not so much what we didn't like, but one small downside was the lack of cleaning tools. It would have been nice to have a broom and some rags to clean up the dirt and sand that accumulated in the bungalow.
